Dear friends of Hilgar

This is a very different post from us today.  It is in the name of Motor Neurone Disease (referred to as ALS in the States) and raising awareness about it through the Ice Bucket Challenge.

You may have seen this trending on world social media platforms of late: everyone is doing it. From Bill Gates to Jimmy Fallon and even Posh & Becks' eldest son Brooklyn. 

Via incredibly lovely friends of ours, through their own journey with MND,  the challenge has come to Australia with an event organised in Melbourne for this Friday afternoon to attempt the world record 'for the largest number of people simultaneously performing the Ice Bucket Challenge'.

So if you are in Melbourne and can spare an hour of your day this coming Friday 22 August 2014 please jump on board.
